The developers behind the ambitious GTA: Carcer City mod are on the cusp of releasing its highly anticipated demo version.

Modder DeadpoolMKD recently offered an exclusive look with 10 minutes of compelling gameplay from Grand Theft Auto: Carcer City. This extensive modification for GTA: San Andreas uniquely fuses the grim, brutal atmosphere of Manhunt with the familiar open-world mechanics that define Grand Theft Auto.

DeadpoolMKD’s preview guides players through the game’s intriguing introduction, showcasing several cinematic cutscenes and a full playthrough of one of the initial missions. The narrative promises a dark and captivating journey:

Almost a decade after his unjust dismissal from the Carcer City police force, Liam O’Mulligan is still struggling to put his life back together. Once a respected detective, he now finds himself taking morally ambiguous jobs from former colleagues and old acquaintances. When one such job ends in unforeseen tragedy, Liam is unwillingly drawn into the dark underbelly of this decaying metropolis. He slowly begins to unravel a vast network of conspiracies and criminal enterprises, involving everyone from petty street thugs to powerful, corrupt government officials.

Barring any unexpected setbacks, the demo version of GTA: Carcer City is scheduled for release on April 10th.
