Nexon has announced a revised release window for its upcoming post-apocalyptic action-survival game, NAKWON: Last Paradise. The highly anticipated title is now expected to launch no earlier than 2027, moving from its previous vague “soon” status, which many had interpreted as a potential 2026 release.

This update follows a successful recent Steam demo that garnered significant attention, attracting over 37,000 concurrent players. The positive reception from the playtest indicated that NAKWON is in a promising state and could potentially compete in the market even now. However, the development team has opted for additional time to further refine the game.

According to a recent financial briefing from Nexon, the delay is attributed to a commitment to achieving the highest possible quality for the game. Furthermore, the development team is actively collaborating with Embark Studios, the creators behind the successful extraction shooter ARC Raiders. This strategic partnership aims to broaden NAKWON’s appeal and attract a wider global audience upon its eventual release.
