Retro gamers nostalgic for the Nintendo 64 era can look forward to the Evercade Nexus portable console from Blaze Entertainment, set to launch in October 2026. This new device will feature a vibrant 5.89-inch IPS display and come bundled with a special cartridge containing both Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie on a single physical release.
The Evercade platform, developed by Blaze Entertainment, offers a unique gaming ecosystem focused on officially licensed retro titles. All games are officially approved by rights holders and are delivered on physical cartridges, presented in attractive boxes complete with full-color manuals.

Blaze Entertainment has officially opened pre-orders for the Evercade Nexus portable console. It boasts a 5.89-inch IPS screen with an 840×512 resolution and over 500 nits of brightness. The standard edition is priced at $199.99, while the special Nexus 64 version is available for $229.99.

The Evercade Nexus is equipped with dual analog sticks, a D-pad, classic face buttons, rear bumpers and triggers, and textured grips for comfortable play. Under the hood, it features a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 4GB of EMMC RAM, Wi-Fi 6 (5 GHz) connectivity, and a robust 5000 mAh battery offering over 5 hours of gameplay.

Measuring 21.5 cm wide, 11.1 cm high, and 3.4 cm deep, the Evercade Nexus weighs 410 grams. Each console comes bundled with the Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack cartridge, featuring both Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie on a single physical release.

The Evercade Nexus will be available in two distinct color schemes: a sleek, all-black Nexus with dark buttons and a neon-red logo, and the Nexus 64, which sports an N64-inspired casing color scheme, complete with main and functional elements reminiscent of the classic N64 controller design.

Beyond the bundled games, the Evercade Nexus is compatible with the entire Evercade library, which currently spans over 80 cartridges and more than 700 titles. Additionally, a new EverSync feature allows users to locally share a single game with another Nexus console.

Similar to the EXP and EXP-R models, the Evercade Nexus supports TATE mode, allowing the device to be rotated vertically for specific games. The Nexus 64 version is a limited edition, restricted to just 2,000 units, and includes a branded hard case. Shipments and the official release of the Evercade Nexus are anticipated for October 2026.
