Russian readers will soon be able to delve into the rich and dark lore of FromSoftware games with the upcoming release of ‘The Scholar’s Codex,’ localized as ‘Кодекс заблудших душ’ (The Codex of Lost Souls).
Publisher Bombora has announced its plans to adapt and release ‘The Scholar’s Codex’ from independent publisher Tune & Fairweather in Russia. The Russian edition is tentatively titled ‘Кодекс заблудших душ’.
A team of authors meticulously analyzed the hidden themes and grand narratives across FromSoftware’s acclaimed series, from Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne to the epic Elden Ring.
This book will offer Russian readers insights into what it means to be human in the harsh world of Dark Souls, how the persistent death mechanic is interwoven with the plot and lore, and why cut content and fan theories have become integral to the established canon.
Currently, Bombora has not disclosed the price or official release date for ‘The Codex of Lost Souls’.
