Pearl Abyss’s highly anticipated title, Crimson Desert, has received patch 1.02.00, delivering a significant overhaul for Xbox Series X owners.

The standout feature is the introduction of 4K upscaling in performance mode. Previously, players had to choose between visual fidelity and smooth gameplay; now, they can experience both. Early reports from players hail this as a game-changer, praising the dramatic improvement in visual clarity during dynamic gameplay.

The performance mode had previously faced criticism for its soft and somewhat blurry visuals. However, with the new high-detail upscaling, the game world now boasts impressive depth and intricate details at a consistent 60 frames per second. For the optimal experience, a VRR-enabled television is recommended to mitigate occasional dips to 45 frames.

Additionally, the patch enhances FSR technology across all platforms, further boosting visual quality, and fixes a vertical synchronization (V-Sync) bug that interfered with gameplay after returning from the console’s menu.
