Amazon Prime Video has officially announced the lead actresses for its highly anticipated live-action adaptation of the beloved video game, Life Is Strange. Tatum Grace Hopkins will take on the role of Max Caulfield, while Maisy Stella is set to portray Chloe Price.
Opting for fresh faces, this marks Tatum Grace Hopkins' television debut, with her previous experience primarily in theatre. Maisy Stella, widely known for her musical career, also has acting credits, including a role in the TV series "Nashville" during her teenage years and a lead role in the 2024 film "My Old Ass".
The series will faithfully adapt the narrative of the original 2015 game. It follows college student Max, who discovers the extraordinary ability to rewind time. Using her newfound power, she saves the life of her childhood friend, Chloe. As they delve into the mysteries of Max's unique gift, the two friends begin investigating the perplexing disappearance of another student, gradually uncovering the dark secrets hidden within their seemingly idyllic town.
Charlie Covell serves as the showrunner and writer for the project. Executive producers include Dmitry M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson from Story Kitchen. Amazon MGM Studios is handling the production.
