Prime 1 Studio Opens Pre-Order for Blue Velociraptor Statue from Jurassic World 2
Prime 1 Studio has announced that pre-orders are now open for an impressive 1/2 scale statue of Blue, the genetically modified velociraptor from the film "Jurassic World 2."
Standing 88 cm (approximately 34.6 inches) tall, this collectible piece is crafted from polystone and other high-quality materials. It can be pre-ordered for $2699. The expected release window for this highly anticipated item is between July and October 2027.
The statue's intricate detailing captures Blue's lifelike essence. Her intelligent eyes are given depth through a multi-layered structure, with every nuance, from elongated pupils to subtle light reflections, meticulously rendered to convey a vivid gaze. The scales and wrinkles on her body are recreated with organic, natural textures, giving her skin an authentic appearance.
The paint application features a sophisticated blend of matte and glossy finishes, highlighting the contrast between wet and dry skin. The distinctive stripe along her back is executed with particular attention to rich saturation and tonal transitions, enhancing its realism.
The specially designed base draws inspiration from lush forest landscapes, providing an immersive setting for the dinosaur. A bonus version of the statue includes an additional display stand featuring the film's logo and an engraved three-toed footprint.
The statue itself measures 88 cm (height), 117 cm (width), and 104 cm (depth), with a weight of 24.3 kg. The logo display stand measures 31 cm (height), 25 cm (width), and 13 cm (depth).
