Players of Ghost of Yōtei: Legends recently received news that the game’s inaugural raid is scheduled to commence on April 10th, inviting them to confront Lord Saito after triumphing over the formidable Yōtei Six. However, Sucker Punch has clarified that the matchmaking feature for this challenging raid will not be available at launch. Instead, it is expected to be implemented “in a couple of weeks” following the initial release.
In the interim, the developers recommend utilizing the official Discord channel as the primary platform for players to connect and form groups. This approach is likely intended to encourage the formation of coordinated and communicative teams, which are often essential for successfully tackling high-level content that requires strategic cooperation.
Interestingly, in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, the raid matchmaking system was available from day one, and even randomly assembled groups were able to successfully navigate the mechanics once they became familiar with the challenges. This difference raises questions about the current decision.
It’s also plausible that technical considerations might be contributing to this delay. Regardless of the reason, players aiming to acquire the best loot and cosmetic rewards will either need to proactively seek out a dedicated team or patiently await the subsequent update that introduces the integrated matchmaking system.
