Helldivers 2: ‘Entrenched Division’ Premium Warbond Arrives with Tactical Shovel, Flamethrower, and Chemical Weapons

On March 17th, the cooperative shooter Helldivers 2 is set to receive a new premium Warbond called “Entrenched Division.” This content pack will be available for one thousand Super Credits, which players can acquire through gameplay missions or by purchasing them with real money.

The “Entrenched Division” Warbond brings a host of new armaments and cosmetic items for players to unlock, enhancing their fight for Managed Democracy. Key additions include:

  • B/FLAM-80 Flamethrower: A powerful incendiary weapon for close-quarters combat.
  • SMG/FLAM-34 Submachine Gun: A compact firearm, possibly with incendiary capabilities or complementing the flamethrower theme.
  • A/GM-17 Mortar: This mortar fires shells loaded with poisonous gas, offering area-of-effect crowd control.
  • P-69 Veto Pistol: A new sidearm for Helldivers.
  • G-48 Explosive Grenades: A heavy-duty bundle of grenades designed for maximum impact.
  • CQC-73 Tactical Shovel: A unique melee weapon or utility item, sparking intrigue among players.
  • Various cosmetic items to customize your Helldiver’s appearance.

The announcement of the “Entrenched Division” was accompanied by a trailer showcasing the new weapons and equipment in action.

Following the reveal, some community members commented that the new Warbond’s contents, particularly the tactical shovel and emphasis on grim warfare, draw comparisons to the Imperial Guard’s Death Korps of Krieg from the Warhammer 40,000 universe, a well-known faction among fans for their unwavering, almost suicidal, devotion to duty and trench warfare tactics.
