The announcement of My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL comes as another title from the franchise, My Hero Ultra Impact, is set to close.
KLab Games has officially announced the development of My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL, a new mobile game based on the popular anime franchise, expected to launch soon.
However, concrete details about the project are scarce. Developers have only released a short teaser, showing no gameplay, specifying no format, and explaining no differences between UNITED SURVIVAL and previous games in the franchise. The impending shutdown of My Hero Ultra Impact, the previous mobile title from the universe, in May, naturally raises concerns and questions among the gaming community.
On social media, particularly Reddit, users are expressing deep skepticism, questioning how long the new project will last. Some commentators believe that the gacha game market, especially those based on popular franchises, is “the worst place in the world,” predicting an unenviable fate for the new title.
This skepticism is further fueled by KLab’s own reputation. The studio is known for regularly releasing mobile games based on anime franchises, many of which have a short lifespan. For instance, Bleach Soul Puzzle is set to shut down on April 14, 2026, less than two years after its release.
All that remains is to await official information to determine if UNITED SURVIVAL is a significant project marking the franchise’s tenth anniversary, or merely another title relying solely on brand recognition.
