Fans of classical music in Russia will soon have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of the board game ‘Luthier’. This project offers a unique chance to journey back to 18th-century Europe, where players can craft musical instruments, secure the backing of influential patrons, and win the hearts of audiences.

Publisher Choo Choo Games has announced that ‘Luthier’ will be their next pre-order campaign. This game, designed for 1-4 players, has already demonstrated significant success on Kickstarter, raising an impressive $790,541.

Players will assume the roles of noble European families from the 18th century, striving to forge their own musical legacy, gain the favor of aristocratic patrons, and earn the admiration of the public.

In ‘Luthier’, gameplay revolves around performing various actions to accumulate as many victory points as possible. The core mechanic involves placing workers of differing strengths using a hidden bidding system.

Players will visit salons and workshops in search of instrument blueprints and new patrons. They will craft instruments in their personal workshop (on their player board), vie for influence over performers in the orchestra pit, and receive acclaim for virtuoso performances on stage.

A deluxe version of ‘Luthier’ will be available for pre-order at a price of 8690 rubles. All pre-order participants will receive an exclusive Kickstarter promo pack, including 11 new patron and instrument cards. The game is expected to arrive at the warehouse in November 2026.

Choo Choo Games also hopes to arrange for the inclusion of additional accessories, previously available as separate purchases on Kickstarter, before the pre-order campaign begins.
