Marathon Players Face Twitch Reward Disappearing Act: Bungie Overlooks Inventory Space

Players of Bungie’s new shooter, Marathon, are encountering an issue when attempting to claim in-game rewards tied to a recent Twitch launch event. It appears Bungie did not anticipate players having full inventories, leading to the disappearance of special Twitch Kits.

The issue concerns the “Twitch Sponsored Kit,” a reward obtained via in-game notifications after participating in designated Twitch streams. Upon activation, this kit provides random weapons and gear for use in a current run, with its contents automatically transferring to the player’s personal storage.

Herein lies the critical problem: unlike other rewards, such as those from contracts or faction rank-ups, Twitch Kits do not get directed to an overflow section if player storage is full. Instead, they simply vanish without a trace.

Bungie is aware of the situation and advises players to proactively clear inventory space. Judging by the studio’s current stance, an active fix for this bug is not planned.
