At 78 years old, the iconic actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is actively discussing his return to several beloved film franchises.
Action legend Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed that 20th Century Studios is working on three major projects where he will once again star. These include a new chapter in the “Predator” universe, the long-awaited sequel “Commando,” and the third Conan film, known as “King Conan.” This announcement was made during his appearance at the Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio, USA.
Schwarzenegger revealed that director Dan Trachtenberg has already approached him with an offer to reprise his role as Dutch, the iconic character from the original 1987 film. Notably, Dutch recently appeared in the finale of the animated project “Predator: The Killer Killers,” where it was revealed that he survived and is in cryosleep on Yautja Prime, the homeworld of the Predators.

“They made another ‘Predator,’ and the director [Dan Trachtenberg] is doing a great job with that franchise. Now he wants me to be in the next ‘Predator.’ We’ve already discussed it. Furthermore, Fox studio seems to have rediscovered Arnold. They said: ‘We want you to be in ‘Predator.’ And we also have a script for ‘Commando 2’ for you.’”

Thus, Schwarzenegger’s return to two of his most famous franchises seems highly probable. However, the sensational news doesn’t end there.
Additionally, the actor reported that the studio has enlisted an experienced director and screenwriter, known for working on recent Tom Cruise projects, to develop the script and subsequently direct “King Conan.”
It is highly likely that this refers to Christopher McQuarrie, whose prolific collaboration with Tom Cruise began with “Valkyrie” and continued with hits like “Jack Reacher,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” and the last four installments of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise.
Although none of these ambitious projects have yet received official confirmation, and their production timelines remain unknown, the very fact of active negotiations and discussions gives fans significant hope that at least some of these plans will eventually make it to the big screens.
