Actor Robert Pattinson has confirmed he will soon dive into active preparation for Matt Reeves’ highly anticipated sequel.
Following the conclusion of his promotional tour for “The Drama!” next week, Pattinson plans to immediately start training and other preparations for his role as Batman. This news aligns with Warner Bros.’ previously announced plans to commence filming in spring, indicating the project is progressing steadily without any significant delays.
In an interview on the French television show C à vous, Pattinson expressed his excitement about the sequel’s script, calling it “very, very good.” Earlier, in a conversation with Deadline, he described it as “outstanding,” promising audiences a “very special” film that will notably differ from the first installment.
“The Batman 2” is scheduled for a global premiere on October 1, 2027, almost five and a half years after the original film’s release. Matt Reeves remains in the director’s chair, having co-written the script with Mattson Tomlin. Potential new additions to the cast include Sebastian Stan as Harvey Dent and Scarlett Johansson in an undisclosed role, though her participation has not yet been officially confirmed by the studio.
