Rockstar Updates Red Dead Redemption & RDR 2 on PC, Players Report Achievement Bugs

In late March, Rockstar Games rolled out updates for their highly popular titles, Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2, on the PC platform via Steam. However, instead of the anticipated improvements, players encountered a series of issues and voiced their disappointment on Steam forums.

The primary cause for complaint has been the erroneous awarding of achievements. RDR 2 users report that they were suddenly granted various achievements, including those related to 100% game completion, specific mission achievements, or progress within Red Dead Online, even though they had not fulfilled the corresponding conditions.

As of now, there is no official information about these patches on Rockstar Games’ websites. This leads players to speculate that the updates were purely technical in nature, possibly related to the developers’ internal services. It is likely that a system glitch occurred, resulting in the incorrect distribution of achievements.
