Russian Version of Seen in Liberty City Released — Modders Enhance GTA III with New Content

The dedicated gaming community continues its vibrant support for classic Rockstar Games titles, breathing new life into beloved experiences.

Barcode Studia has officially unveiled the release trailer for their ambitious fan project, “Seen in Liberty City.” This passionate team of developers has meticulously adapted the iconic storyline of GTA III, transplanting it into a finely crafted 1998 version of Liberty City. The entire modification is built upon the robust engine of GTA: Liberty City Stories, ensuring a familiar yet refreshed gameplay foundation.

Beyond merely relocating the narrative, the modders have implemented a wide array of significant improvements and integrated a substantial volume of original content. This newly added material draws inspiration from a diverse range of sources, including early conceptualizations of GTA III, subsequent entries within the expansive Grand Theft Auto franchise, and even assets initially intended for other Barcode Studia projects that were ultimately not included for various reasons.

Key enhancements featured in “Seen in Liberty City” include the addition of supplementary side missions to enrich the gameplay experience, comprehensive bug fixes addressing long-standing issues, refined voice acting enhanced by artificial intelligence technology, and the highly anticipated return of musical tracks that were unfortunately cut from the original game release.

Players eager to delve into this reimagined open world can enjoy “Seen in Liberty City” on the PSP platform. All necessary project files are publicly available for download, and the mod proudly offers full support for both an English version and a newly released Russian localization, making it accessible to a broader audience.
