The highly anticipated God of War Trilogy Remake is officially in the works, and a familiar voice from the original games has confirmed his return to the iconic franchise.

T.C. Carson, the original voice of Kratos, received a warm reception at MEGACON Orlando. The actor humorously addressed his comeback to the series, a role taken over by Christopher Judge for the Norse saga. Carson’s relaxed demeanor at the event was a stark contrast to the fierce character he portrays on screen.

“They came back after they realized they let me go prematurely. But it was a great conversation. Eric came, we had dinner, we discussed it, he told me what they wanted to do, and I agreed.”

Carson expressed his excitement for the comeback. While details on the remake’s development are still scarce, the confirmation itself brings relief after previous years’ rumors. The God of War Trilogy Remake currently has no official release date.

Separately, while Santa Monica Studio continues its work, industry insiders suggest another project is in development: a game centered around Faye, Kratos’s wife. This rumored title is reportedly targeting a release in the first half of 2027, with a potential reveal as early as May or June 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
