Wyrmhunt: Retro JRPG Card Game to Be Localized in Russia

Board Zeppelin has officially announced the upcoming localization of “Wyrmhunt,” a cooperative tabletop card game, for the Russian market. This highly anticipated project, designed for 1-4 players, draws heavily from the distinctive aesthetic and immersive atmosphere of classic 90s Japanese Role-Playing Games. Players will step into a rich fantasy world, embodying valiant hunters who engage in strategic turn-based battles and embark on perilous adventures.

“Wyrmhunt” stands out for its unique blend of card-driven mechanics and deep JRPG immersion. The game places a strong emphasis on critical elements such as robust character development, intricate tactical combat scenarios, and essential team cooperation. Its creators openly acknowledge iconic series like Lufia, Breath of Fire, and Final Fantasy as primary sources of their creative inspiration, promising a nostalgic yet fresh experience.

The game is currently in an active development phase, with its global release strategically planned for next year. Excitingly, the Russian localized version, facilitated by Board Zeppelin, is slated to launch simultaneously with the international edition, ensuring fans in Russia can join the adventure without delay. Furthermore, a dedicated Gamefound page for “Wyrmhunt” is already live, where future pre-orders for English and German versions will become available, expanding its reach to a broader international audience.
