Triple Espresso has revealed the new launch date for its upcoming soccer tycoon game, Copa City. The title, which will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, is now scheduled for release on March 26, 2026. This Polish developer originally intended to launch the game this summer but decided to postpone it to ensure the highest quality and deliver a refined experience to players.
Unlike traditional soccer management simulations such as the widely popular Football Manager series, Copa City shifts the focus away from on-field team management and championship pursuits. Instead, players will dive deep into the intricate logistics of hosting home matches. This involves meticulously planning fan transportation to and from the stadium, ensuring ample availability of food and beverages, and designing engaging fan zones to enhance the matchday experience for supporters, creating a vibrant atmosphere from arrival to departure.
The development team has secured official licensing agreements with several prominent football clubs and venues, including European giants like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Arsenal, as well as Brazil`s Flamengo Rio de Janeiro. Details regarding two more licensed teams are expected to be announced in the future, further expanding the game`s authentic roster of clubs and stadiums.
Alongside the release date announcement, Triple Espresso has also launched a crowdfunding initiative. The studio clarified that these additional funds are not essential for completing the game`s core development but will instead be utilized to incorporate supplementary features that extend beyond their current allocated budget, aiming to enrich the gameplay experience with extra content and functionalities.
