Electronic Arts continues its policy of discontinuing support for older games. It was recently announced that after 17 years, the classic Tower Defense game Plants vs. Zombies HD will be shut down. Fans of the popular series are bidding farewell to one of its iconic versions.
The servers for Plants vs. Zombies HD will remain operational until June 24, 2026. However, the game has already been removed from digital storefronts, and all in-game purchases have been disabled. This decision follows similar actions by the company, such as with certain versions of Battlefield Hardline, indicating a general trend by EA to gradually phase out support for its legacy titles.
