While the project continues to thrive on consoles and PC, the Nintendo Switch version has met a different fate.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite has been suddenly removed from sale in the Nintendo eShop, with its servers scheduled for permanent deactivation on August 5, 2026. This decision is a significant blow to players who purchased the standard edition of the game for $30, as the project is essentially ending on Nintendo systems just two years after its release on the platform.
The developers expressed gratitude to the community for their support and announced that access to the game will no longer be possible after August 5, 2026.
"We apologize to our loyal players for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding," they stated.
