Player feedback regarding Crimson Desert has been acknowledged by the developers.

Crimson Desert has received "mixed" reviews on Steam, with players expressing dissatisfaction not only concerning the game's content and certain design choices but, notably, also its highly convoluted control scheme. Many found the keyboard and mouse controls particularly challenging to navigate.

Previously, a PR representative for Crimson Desert likened learning the game's controls to learning to ride a bicycle. However, the developers themselves have now directly addressed the issue, announcing that a fix is in the works.

Pearl Abyss, the studio behind Crimson Desert, has officially recognized the problem and issued an apology specifically to players using a keyboard and mouse:

"Since release, we have been closely listening to your feedback and doing our best to improve the game. Specifically, we are aware of the control inconveniences many players are experiencing and are currently preparing a patch to address them. We also want to apologize to keyboard and mouse players for not providing a satisfactory gaming experience. Please know that we take your feedback seriously and are working to improve your gaming experience as soon as possible."
