Crimson Desert Developers Ignored Intel's Offers to Optimize for Their GPUs for Years
PC owners with Intel graphics processors are reportedly facing difficulties running the highly anticipated new title, Crimson Desert. Following its release, it was discovered that the game is incompatible with Intel graphics cards, a disappointing surprise for many players.
As it turns out, Intel had been actively attempting to establish contact with the developers at Pearl Abyss for several years, offering comprehensive assistance to ensure stable game performance on its platforms.
An Intel representative stated:
Stable game performance always requires a collaborative effort between developers and hardware manufacturers. Over the past several years, we have repeatedly reached out to Pearl Abyss, offering assistance with testing, optimization, and support for Intel GPUs. We offered early versions of drivers and hardware, as well as engineering assistance.
However, for unknown reasons, Pearl Abyss never responded to these offers. The developers of Crimson Desert have yet to comment on Intel's statement or the lack of support for its graphics solutions.
