Crimson Desert appears to be finding its stride after a somewhat challenging launch on Steam. Initially, player reviews were far from enthusiastic, earning the game a "Mixed" rating. However, the tide has turned, and the project now boasts a "Mostly Positive" rating.

It turns out that patience has been key to its growing recognition. An increasing number of users who initially gave low scores are now updating their reviews after spending more hours immersed in the virtual world. A common theme in recent feedback is the assertion that Crimson Desert is a slow-burn game that needs time to fully unfurl its wings. While the initial slow pace might have deterred some, many players acknowledge that after several hours, the gameplay significantly deepens and becomes much more rewarding.

As of this update, the game has approximately 71% positive reviews out of 55,000 on Valve's platform. Despite the overall improvement, criticism still persists. Disappointed players continue to describe the world as "empty" or lacking a clear purpose, which for some leads to requesting a refund.
