Devsisters Unveils CookieRun: New World – The Most Ambitious Installment Yet
Devsisters has officially announced CookieRun: New World, an ambitious open-world adventure game set within the highly popular CookieRun franchise, which boasts over 300 million players and more than $1 billion in revenue. The game is slated for release in 2029 across consoles, PC, and mobile platforms, coinciding with the series' 20th anniversary.
Developed using Unreal Engine, this project is hailed as "the most ambitious game in the franchise's history." The narrative unfolds after the era of the legendary Five Heroes, inviting players on a fresh journey across the Cookie continent as a mysterious darkness begins to re-emerge.
This major announcement was a highlight of the Devsisters Online Showcase, which also featured other significant updates. Among them was the reveal of CookieRun: Crumble, a casual idle RPG set to launch in the second half of 2026. Furthermore, CookieRun: Kingdom will receive its second chapter this May, introducing a new storyline centered around a catastrophe that shatters timelines and sparks a war. This update will also add a new region and accelerate the release of future story chapters to a bi-weekly schedule. In April, CookieRun: Kingdom players can look forward to a special collaboration event with K-Pop Demon Hunters.
