Escape from Tarkov Developers Respond to Event Complaints with Sarcastic Vaseline Airdrops
It appears the developers behind the hardcore shooter Escape from Tarkov have found a rather unique, and perhaps contentious, way to address player discontent over a recently concluded in-game event.
The "smugglers and bosses" event on the "Reserve" map in Escape from Tarkov recently came to an unexpected end, prompting numerous players to voice their complaints across various community platforms.
Battlestate Games, the studio responsible for the game, seemingly took note of the widespread dissatisfaction. However, instead of reinstating the event or offering a more conventional solution, they opted for a different kind of "humanitarian aid."
Members of the "Tarkov Metamovement" community, among others, were quick to point out that following the event's conclusion, players began receiving airdrops containing medical containers filled with Vaseline.
This unusual response has been widely interpreted as Battlestate Games' way of trolling players, a sarcastic jab aimed at those who expressed their outrage over the event's abrupt and unannounced termination.
