Everplay (Team17 Parent Company) Reports 10% Profit Increase in 2025

July 11, 2026Carlos Mendoza2 мин

Everplay, the parent group of Team17 Digital, has published its full-year financial results for 2025, announcing a 10% rise in gross profit despite overall flat revenue. This follows the company's rebranding from Team17 Group last June and the appointment of Mikkel Weider as CEO in January 2026.

Key Financial Highlights

  • Revenue: £166 million (unchanged year-on-year)
  • Gross Profit: £76.3 million (up 10% year-on-year)

Everplay attributed the stable revenue figures to the cessation of low-margin direct physical game distribution. When excluding this factor, revenue actually saw a 5% increase. New releases significantly boosted revenue by 80%, with 11 new titles launched in 2025. These included *Date Everything* from Sassy Chap Games, Windwalk Games' *Sworn*, Weltenbauer Software Entwicklung's *Firefighting Simulator Ignite*, and StoryToys' *Lego Bluey*.

The back catalogue, which accounted for 65% of total revenue, did not reach the exceptional levels recorded in 2024 but still delivered double-digit growth compared to 2023.

Strategic Growth and Acquisitions

During FY25, Everplay made several strategic moves, including acquiring a minority stake in Battalion developer Bulkhead alongside Super Media Group and Hiro Capital. The company also secured the rights and assets for the Hammerwatch franchise, several IPs from Bearded Brothers, and long-term publishing rights for seven previously released titles, such as Clever Plays' *Operation: Tango*, 2pt Interactive's *Heavenly Bodies*, and Gentle Giant's *Spiritfall*.

Divisional Performance Overview

  • Team17: Experienced an 8% increase in total sales, reaching £106 million. Six new games were instrumental in a remarkable 700% surge in new-release revenue. Notably, *Date Everything* has garnered over 750,000 players since its launch in June 2025.
  • Astragon: Reported a 33% decline in revenue, primarily due to discontinuing low-margin direct physical game distribution. Excluding this, revenue still fell by 18%. Everplay anticipates a "considerably improved performance" for FY 2026 by realigning investment towards Astragon's most popular and scalable franchises.
  • StoryToys: Achieved a 25% increase in revenues to £30.4 million. This growth was supported by one new app launch and 740 app updates, including the successful debut of *Lego Bluey*, which surpassed one million downloads in its first month.

Future Outlook

Everplay expressed confidence in its position to achieve "another year of profitable growth in FY 2026," expecting continued expansion over the medium to long term. CEO Mikkel Weider reflected on his initial three months, stating his reinforced confidence in the Group's long-term potential. He praised the teams for their hard work in delivering impressive double-digit profit growth, highlighting that FY2026 promises "one of the busiest and highest quality new release line-ups in several years," featuring both first-party IP and exciting third-party titles like *Wardogs*, complemented by recent partnerships and acquisitions.
