Fallout 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 Receives Massive Update: Bethesda Adds DLSS and Fixes Numerous Bugs
Bethesda has released a significant update for Fallout 4 on Nintendo Switch 2. The game now supports NVIDIA DLSS technology, which substantially boosts performance and enhances image quality.
A key new feature is DLSS support in both 40 and 60 frames per second modes. The technology automatically deactivates in interface menus, ensuring text remains sharp and readable. Developers have also addressed several critical issues, including crashes during saves, file overwrites, and when switching the console to and from its dock. Memory management has been improved, contributing to a more stable experience during long gameplay sessions.
The game's visuals have also seen considerable improvements. The patch eliminates environmental flickering and resolves lighting issues both indoors and under various weather conditions. Previously missing effects, such as bullet traces, blood, puddles, and landscape details, have been restored. Bethesda also refined the user interface, fixing its transparency and incorrect button display in the trade menu.
Furthermore, the update enhances the stability of NPCs and quest triggers. Exploring the Wasteland on Switch 2 is now set to be a significantly more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
