Invincible Live-Action Film Confirmed Still in Development
Nearly a decade after its initial announcement, Robert Kirkman, the creator of the popular "Invincible" comic series, has confirmed that a live-action feature film set in the universe is still actively in development. In an interview with ScreenRant, Kirkman clarified that despite the current focus on the successful animated series, certain work is progressing behind the scenes on the film project. Details remain under wraps for now.
The film was first announced in 2017. Since then, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, known for numerous successful projects, have been attached to write, direct, and produce it. Kirkman himself is also actively involved in the process, expressing confidence that the adaptation will eventually see the light of day.
Currently, information regarding the cast and production timelines remains unavailable. While fan communities actively discuss potential candidates for roles, the studio has yet to make any official announcements. Nia DaCosta, director of "Captain Marvel 2," previously expressed interest in helming the project, but there is no confirmed data regarding her potential involvement.
Meanwhile, fans of the universe can enjoy the fourth season of the "Invincible" animated series on Prime Video, which premiered on March 18, with new episodes released weekly.
