Japanese VTuber Amakusa Miro Unveils Unique "Amakasu Muscle" Developed from Foot-Gaming Style
Japanese VTuber Amakusa Miro recently surprised her followers by revealing an unusual anatomical change resulting from her distinctive gaming technique. Known for her unique method of playing video games primarily with her feet, Miro shared on her social media page, X (formerly Twitter), that a muscle resembling a "second ankle" has formed on her left foot.
Miro clarified that this isn't an anomaly but rather a highly developed muscle, a consequence of the continuous strain and specific movements required by her gaming style. She first noticed this peculiar development while reviewing one of her past broadcasts. The VTuber explained that during gameplay, she keeps her left foot elevated, using it for character movement — specifically controlling the left stick and D-pad. Her right foot, conversely, typically rests on the controller, managing action buttons and camera controls.
This specialized distribution of effort and constant engagement, it appears, has provided a distinctive "workout" for her left foot, leading to the noticeable enlargement of the muscle.
Amakusa Miro is an accomplished player specializing in various multiplayer titles, including Splatoon 2, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Mario Kart World. Her proficiency is evident in her impressive achievements, such as reaching the maximum rank in Splatoon 2 and single-handedly defeating the high-level monster Arkweld in Monster Hunter Wilds in less than three minutes.
Miro herself has embraced this unique characteristic with humor. She playfully suggested that she might have developed muscles not commonly found in others. She even bestowed a name upon this phenomenon — the "Amakasu muscle" — and lightheartedly proposed that companies might consider advertising on her feet, much to the amusement of her subscribers.
