JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Confirmed for Autumn 2026 Release with Weekly Episodes
After a prolonged hiatus, Netflix has finally provided an update on the highly anticipated continuation of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run."
Netflix has finalized its release strategy for the next installment of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run." The anime's upcoming arc is scheduled to premiere in autumn 2026, with new episodes releasing weekly rather than as a complete batch.
This marks a return to a more traditional episodic release model for "Steel Ball Run" following its break. However, the season will still be segmented into multiple phases, meaning the full release schedule for all parts remains undetermined.
"Steel Ball Run" represents the seventh major part of the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" franchise, based on the acclaimed manga by Hirohiko Araki. Set in an alternate late 19th-century America, the story follows a transcontinental horse race with a grand prize of $50 million. The narrative centers on former jockey Johnny Joestar and the enigmatic Gyro Zeppeli, who form an unlikely alliance to win the challenging competition.
The animation is handled by david production, the studio responsible for all previous modern "JoJo" anime adaptations. The production team retains key personnel from prior seasons, including director Yasuhiro Kimura, composer Yugo Kanno, and scriptwriter Yasuko Kobayashi.
