King's Bounty: The Legend Receives Beta Patch with Steam Achievements — 18 Years After Release
This beloved title continues to receive dedicated support, years after its initial launch.
Fulqrum Publishing recently announced the release of a beta branch for King's Bounty: The Legend, primarily focused on testing the integration of Steam achievements into the game.
During the testing phase, several bugs were identified. In response, developers have prepared a series of fixes and revised certain conditions for earning achievements:
- A brief freeze that occurred when first opening the character screen has been rectified.
- An error causing achievements for reaching specific mana values to be granted without the actual conditions being met has been fixed.
- Resolved a bug where the achievement for visiting Kordar might be awarded upon visiting a cave in Greenwort.
- An issue where the achievement for visiting Ultrax could be granted when entering a special location via a whale event has been corrected.
- For the 'One-Punch Man' achievement, the required damage threshold has been increased significantly from 1,000 to 10,000.
- Fixed a bug where completing the game on a higher difficulty did not correctly grant achievements for completing lower difficulty levels.
- For the 'Ghost Hunter' achievement, the progression path now correctly accounts for an initial conversation with the ghost, followed by siding with Norzh, and subsequently resolving the conflict peacefully.
- Addressed various stability issues that could occasionally arise when interacting with runes.
