Krayon Unveils Exclusive Pac-Man Watches for Fans, Priced at Approximately 19 Million Rubles
Krayon has introduced an exclusive timepiece collection inspired by the iconic Pac-Man game, targeting affluent enthusiasts. These sophisticated mechanical watches, limited to a mere 15 pieces, are built upon the acclaimed "Anywhere" model and carry a price tag of approximately 188,000 Swiss Francs (about 19 million Russian Rubles).
A standout feature of these watches is their remarkable ability to precisely indicate sunrise and sunset times for any chosen global location. Instead of conventional astronomical indicators, the display cleverly incorporates beloved Pac-Man characters, infusing the watch with a distinct and playful charm.
The yellow Pac-Man character dynamically serves as a day-and-night indicator, moving across the dial reminiscent of the sun's journey. At midnight, the familiar ghost quartet—Blinky, Pinky, Clyde, and Inky—transform into their blue, "edible" state, just like in the game. They revert to their signature colors as dawn breaks. Furthermore, the subtle direction of their gazes points towards the sun's position during sunrise.
The dial's base is meticulously crafted from polished black onyx, featuring a delicate labyrinth pattern that becomes visible from specific angles. All inscriptions, including the Krayon logo and calendar, are rendered in an authentic 1980s font, a respectful nod to the game's origins.
Encasing this marvel is a 39mm platinum 950 case, which frames the onyx dial and superimposed hand-painted sapphire discs. The watch measures 9.5mm in thickness. It houses the manual-winding Caliber C030 movement, composed of 432 individual parts, and boasts a robust 72-hour power reserve.
