Marvel Rivals continues to gain significant traction, and its creators are actively seeking new avenues to expand its player base. Developers have now confirmed that a version specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2 is currently in development.

This confirmation comes directly from Danny Koo, a key member of the development team. In an interview with IGN, Koo explicitly stated: "We are working on it, and when we have news, we will definitely announce it… We will do it."

For NetEase, this strategic move appears entirely logical. Marvel Rivals has already established itself as a successful hero-shooter, effectively leveraging its roster of iconic Marvel characters and sustaining player engagement through consistent updates and the introduction of new heroes. Launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 is poised to significantly broaden the game's market reach and further solidify its community.

However, the situation regarding a potential mobile version is distinct. Koo clarified that the game's current intricate mechanics are not well-suited for touchscreen interfaces. He explained that any project aimed at smartphones would necessitate a complete redesign, effectively making it an entirely different product.

While an exact premiere date or a specific release window for the Nintendo Switch 2 version has yet to be announced, the confirmation itself is definitive: Marvel Rivals will indeed be coming to the new console. The game is presently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
