MindsEye, Project from Former GTA Producer, Loses Publisher and Hitman Crossover
The highly anticipated and ambitious project, MindsEye, has encountered significant difficulties during its launch.
Earlier rumors regarding issues with MindsEye, the game being developed by Build A Rocket Boy studio under the direction of former GTA producer Leslie Benzies, have recently been officially confirmed.
IO Interactive has officially terminated its publishing partnership with Build A Rocket Boy, the studio behind MindsEye. IO Interactive released the following statement:
“The Hitman mission, announced in June 2025 and planned as a crossover event within MindsEye, will not be released. However, Build A Rocket Boy studio plans to work with other partners on future projects.”
MindsEye's launch itself proved to be highly turbulent. The game faced extensive online criticism regarding its quality, with some developers even alleging "sabotage" and an organized campaign targeting the project.
