During the recent Minecraft Live presentation, Mojang unveiled an upcoming update for its popular sandbox game, announcing the addition of a new mob and other fresh content.

Among the novelties is the "Sulfur Caves" biome, characterized by warm hues of red and yellow. This unique biome stands out with its three-dimensional surface, where various blocks seamlessly merge into one another. It features pools of water at its center, surrounded by sulfur deposits.

However, players are warned that swimming in these water pools is strongly discouraged. Highly reactive sulfur interacts with the water, forming bubbles that burst on the surface, releasing a poisonous gas.

Beyond sulfur, players will also discover a new block called "Cinnabar."

The Sulfur Caves will be home to a new mob: the "Sulfur Cube." This unique creature possesses the ability to absorb blocks and alter its properties based on the absorbed material. For instance, consuming a wool block will allow it to float like a balloon, while absorbing an ice block will make it slide.
