PlayStation Community Rocked by Ban of Top Trophy Hunter
David Tremblay, a prominent figure in the global trophy hunting community and a former PlayStation Network record holder, has been permanently banned from PSN. Known for his numerous achievements, platinum trophies, well-known victories, and world records, this news has sent shockwaves through the gaming community.
According to Tremblay, the ban stems from a hack of his account last October. The perpetrator reportedly bypassed two-factor authentication (2FA) and gained unauthorized access to his profile by exploiting PSN support procedures.
Tremblay later reported security vulnerabilities and extortion attempts, following which his account was unexpectedly blocked for alleged rule violations. The renowned trophy hunter suspects the hacker intentionally provoked the ban by 'message bombing' his account with rule-breaking content.
Tremblay spent over 16 years meticulously building his reputation, earning five Guinness World Records, and dedicating tens of thousands of hours to trophy acquisition. He emphasizes that he repeatedly warned PlayStation's customer support to disregard any suspicious activity on his account while it was compromised by the hacker. Now, his profile appears as though his entire trophy history has simply vanished.
The gaming community is understandably shocked by the development, reigniting widespread discussions about PSN's security protocols and the overall quality of Sony's customer support.
