PlayStation Store Purge: Sony Delists Over 1000 Games

Sony is continuing its extensive clear-out of the PlayStation digital storefront.

Recently, players observed a significant number of titles disappearing from the PlayStation Store. Reports indicate that Sony has removed approximately 1000 games from sale.

The delisted games primarily include various titles from development studios such as CGI LAB (Play Lab) and Nostra Games, many of which had previously received mixed to negative feedback from gamers regarding their quality.

Nostra Games has issued a statement confirming their intention to continue releasing games on other platforms. They noted that Sony has not yet provided them with an official reason for the removal of their titles:

"Unfortunately, the PlayStation Store has removed our games, and we are unable to provide the exact reason for this — it has not been communicated to us either… At the moment, we plan to continue releasing games on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Steam. This came as a complete surprise to us, just as it did to you: we had intended to continue developing and releasing new projects in the coming years (some of which you may have already seen), but alas, this is how the situation has unfolded."
