Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake to Overhaul Structure While Retaining Content – Insider Claims
Fans have long been urging Capcom to develop a remake of this particular installment in the franchise.
Prominent insider Dusk Golem continues to share details regarding the speculated Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake.
It appears the developers are planning significant changes to the game's overall structure. According to the insider:
"I've heard that Resident Evil: Code Veronica is generally a bit expanded – nothing is cut, some elements are heavily reworked (they say this is the remake with the most changes and differences from the original, however, all enemies, locations, and key events remain)."
Dusk Golem further states that the role of a younger Chris will be expanded, becoming "as substantial as Claire's."
"Chris's adventures will conclude earlier than in the original: he will have his own final battle with Wesker (now a full-fledged boss) much earlier in the story, he will sustain severe injuries, leaving Claire to finish what he started and confront the final boss."
It is also rumored that Yasuhiro Anpo and Kazunori Kadoi, known for their work on the Resident Evil 2 and RE 4 remakes, are involved in the development of the Code: Veronica remake.
