Saros: Continuous Action and Aggressive Gameplay Revealed for New PS5 Exclusive
Housemarque continues to showcase the gameplay for Saros, their upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive. A recent short video confirms that the game's core revolves around an aggressive playstyle, encouraging players to take the initiative.
While the project was previously often compared to Returnal, even being dubbed "Returnal 2.0," new footage highlights that Saros, despite some similar elements, is actively forging its own unique approach and gameplay style.
Developers have previously stated that Saros will offer a deeply developed storyline. Furthermore, the gameplay won't be limited to just dodging; players will also have the opportunity to launch counter-attacks from cover.
Another brief gameplay snippet once again vividly demonstrated the developers' key philosophy: instead of passively awaiting enemy actions, players are expected to go on the offensive themselves, maintaining continuous action.
Saros is scheduled for release on April 30, 2026, exclusively for PS5.
