Sea of Stars, the Award-Winning Indie JRPG of 2023, Now Available on iOS and Android
The critically acclaimed JRPG, Sea of Stars, developed by Canadian Sabotage Studio, has officially made its debut on mobile devices, now available on Google Play and the App Store. Originally launched in August 2023 for PC and consoles, it quickly established itself as a prominent indie release. This title, deeply inspired by classic JRPGs from the 90s, was honored with the "Best Indie Game" award at both The Game Awards and Golden Joystick Awards last year.
The game's captivating narrative follows two Solstice Children who must combine the powers of the Sun and Moon to confront a looming evil. Gameplay features engaging turn-based combat with timed mechanics for parrying attacks and building combos. Players can also explore a vibrant world, solve intricate puzzles, enjoy various mini-games, and delve into a wealth of side content that perfectly complements the main story campaign, which offers approximately 50 hours of gameplay.
Playdigious was responsible for developing the mobile port, which includes a redesigned interface specifically optimized for touch controls. It also offers full gamepad support, cloud saving functionality, and Russian localization. The game is priced at $9.99, but during its launch week, players can enjoy a 10% discount, purchasing it for $8.99. However, it is important to note that official purchase is unavailable in Russia, and at launch, cooperative multiplayer and the "Throes of the Watchmaker" expansion are not included.
