Shogun: Complete Edition Board Game Launched in Russia: A Struggle for Power in 16th Century Japan
Players can now assume the roles of Japanese warlords vying for clan dominance as the "Shogun: Complete Edition" board strategy game has officially launched in Russia. This comprehensive box includes four expansions: "Tenno's Court," "Samurai," "Generals," and "Dajokan."
This military-economic strategy game, designed for 3 to 5 players, is now available for purchase across various retail outlets. Prices generally range from 6,303 to 10,600 rubles.
"Shogun" is distinguished by its action planning mechanics, an innovative battle system that employs a specialized tower, and auction elements. To achieve success, participants must not only gain control of as many provinces as possible but also develop their territories by constructing castles, temples, and theaters, collecting vital rice and taxes, and suppressing potential rebellions.
The "Complete Edition" bundles four distinct expansions, significantly enriching the base game experience.
"Tenno's Court" introduces complex political intrigue unfolding in a new imperial palace area, allowing players to secure the Emperor's favor through their officials. "Samurai" incorporates a system of military valor, providing players with valuable strategic bonuses. "Generals" adds unique character units that enable powerful enhanced actions and offer additional victory points. Lastly, "Dajokan" broadens strategic opportunities, facilitating greater accumulation of victory points throughout the game.
In "Shogun," both player-versus-player battles and peasant uprisings are resolved using a unique battle tower. All armies involved in a conflict are simultaneously dropped into the tower. The side whose cubes emerge in greater number into the tray at the bottom is victorious. Defeated armies are returned to the general supply, while the victor places their remaining cubes in the conquered province and claims the corresponding province card.
A full game session spans two in-game years, each structured into four distinct seasons (rounds): Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. After the second Winter round concludes, a final score tally is performed. The player who has accumulated the most victory points is declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the player possessing the highest number of reserve chests claims victory.
