Stephanie Panisello, Voice of Claire Redfield, Ready to Return for Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake
For many years, fans of the Resident Evil series have actively called on Capcom to develop a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica.
Recent discussions online, particularly after the release of Resident Evil Requiem, have once again brought up the possibility of updating the cult classic. Blogger BTVAbhiJha reached out to Stephanie Panisello, the actress who lent her voice to Claire Redfield, to get her thoughts on a potential remake.
Panisello fully agreed on the necessity of a Code: Veronica remake, stating:
“I agree that this game really needs a remake! I won't deny it.”
However, the actress emphasized that the decision to develop the remake and her involvement in it rests entirely with Capcom. She added:
“I don't have a say in this matter – I don't decide if they're going to make a Code Veronica remake. And I don't decide if I'll be able to play Claire if such a remake does happen.”
Stephanie also noted that she is pleased by fans' desire to see Claire Redfield again, and especially to see her in the role. She concluded:
“What I will tell you is that I am very pleased that people want to see more Claire. And I'm pleased that they want to see me in that role. If that opportunity arises – I will seize it without hesitation.”
