Warhammer Community Showcase: Painted Legio Custodes Miniatures
The Warhammer community has unveiled stunning painted versions of miniatures from the upcoming "Legio Custodes" set for the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy tabletop game. Fans can now enjoy a detailed look at the Shield-Captain, Custodian Guard, Sentinel Guard, Contemptor Dreadnought, and Caladius Annhilator Grav-tank.
These impressive works were published by Games Workshop in anticipation of the "Legio Custodes Battle Group" pre-order, which is set to open on March 21, 2026. Community artists have showcased their talent, bringing these models to life.
The set itself includes one Shield-Captain, six Custodian Guard, six Sentinel Guard, a Contemptor Dreadnought (which can be assembled as an Achillus or Galatus), and a powerful Caladius Annhilator Grav-tank.
Numerous talented artists contributed to this display. Angelo Di Cello, Antonio Rivera, Colin Ward, Joseph Knoblauch, Ruben Rodriguez, Scott White, and Vincent Notley presented magnificently painted Custodian Guard, ready to defend the interests of the Emperor of Mankind.
Sentinel Guard, featuring the Praesidium Shield, were showcased by Andrew Heywood, Angelo Di Cello, Howard Tee, Antonio Rivera, Colin Ward, Lauren Wingrove, and Oliver Kealey.
The Caladius Annhilator Grav-tank, equipped with an advanced Arachnus Blaze Cannon, was masterfully detailed by Colin Ward, Matt Wingrove, Spencer Stone, and Robert Wolfs.
Ben Mudge, Jack Hunter, Jessica Smart, Lloyd Davis, Oliver Kealey, and Spencer Stone introduced their interpretations of the Contemptor Dreadnought – a cybernetic sarcophagus for the Adeptus Astartes.
Finally, the iconic Shield-Captain was brought to life by Brennan Baker, Angelo Di Cello, Henry Chown, Jenny Ruskin, Jose David Gonzalez Ramos, Jose from SN Battle Reports, Juan Sanz, Marco Miladinovic, and Sergio Calvo.
