HoYoverse Reports $5.38 Million in Legal Gains and 1240 Apologies from Lawsuits Against Cheaters and Leakers

HoYoverse, the developer of popular titles such as Genshin Impact, continues its vigorous legal campaign against individuals who breach game rules, including leakers, cheaters, and those involved in developing unauthorized software.

The company recently unveiled details of its extensive legal successes, highlighting substantial earnings derived from actions taken against various insiders, exploiters, and unauthorized software creators.

Working in conjunction with law enforcement, miHoYo (HoYoverse) has participated in 22 criminal prosecutions. Furthermore, civil lawsuits have been initiated against an impressive 2,388 individuals.

These robust legal efforts have collectively resulted in total compensation amounting to approximately $5.38 million.

HoYoverse also revealed a significant number of apologies received, with 1,240 individuals publicly acknowledging their wrongdoing and admitting their violations.

The company sternly warns that individuals who leak sensitive information or create cheats for miHoYo games face severe repercussions, including potential imprisonment. This underscores HoYoverse’s firm commitment to preserving game integrity and protecting its intellectual property.
