Sony Automatically Refunds Players for Highguard Microtransactions After Game Closure

Players who had made in-game purchases in the online shooter Highguard have started receiving their money back.

The servers for the free-to-play game Highguard were recently shut down. Although the project didn’t become a massive hit, some users had still invested money into the shooter.

PlayStation console owners reported that Sony had automatically begun issuing refunds for microtransactions made in Highguard.

Gamers commended Sony for this proactive and sensible step, noting the company’s swift action in this instance.

Users on Steam also joined the conversation, mentioning that they had to manually submit requests to receive refunds for their Highguard donations.
