Square Enix’s FY26 Operating Income Surges 34.9% Despite Net Sales Decline

Square Enix has released its financial statements for the fiscal year concluding March 31, 2026. The company observed a decrease in its net sales, a trend primarily influenced by lower revenue contributions from its Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games, as well as titles developed for smart devices and PC browsers. This decline in sales, however, did not impede the company’s profitability, as its operating income saw a substantial increase of 34.9% over the same period.
