Subnautica 2 Gets Release Window After Developers Win Court Battle Against Krafton

Following a successful internal review by Krafton, the highly anticipated game Subnautica 2 is now nearing its official release. A recent court ruling ordered the reinstatement of the dismissed CEO of Unknown Worlds Entertainment, the studio behind the game, which has paved the way for the project’s imminent launch.

According to current plans, and assuming no further unforeseen changes, Subnautica 2 is expected to enter early access as early as May.

The initial release of Subnautica 2 was originally anticipated for 2025. However, the project faced significant delays after the leadership of Unknown Worlds Entertainment was dismissed. Krafton, the publisher, attributed these dismissals to concerns regarding the game’s development state, while the developers countered, claiming the company’s true motive was to avoid paying them performance bonuses.
