Aspyr has launched a significant free update for the acclaimed Tomb Raider I–III Remastered collection. This major patch introduces an entirely new Challenge Mode along with a host of additional content, designed to delight long-time fans of Lara Croft’s iconic original trilogy.
The freshly added Challenge Mode empowers players with extensive customization options to tailor their difficulty. Players can modify various parameters, including Lara’s health, the damage output of enemies, the types of adversaries encountered, and available power-ups, enabling them to create truly unique and personalized playthrough experiences. Engaging with higher challenge levels will yield more substantial rewards and unlockable content.
Further enriching the game, the update also brings 10 new outfits for Lara, each offering distinct gameplay enhancements. These improvements might include perks like increased running speed, enhanced diving capabilities, or improved combat effectiveness. Moreover, 15 new achievements have been incorporated, specifically tied to accomplishments within the new Challenge Mode, offering fresh goals for completionists.
In addition to these in-game enhancements, the remastered collection has significantly expanded its availability to new platforms. Gamers can now experience Tomb Raider I–III Remastered on the Nintendo Switch 2, as well as on various mobile devices running iOS and Android operating systems. Mobile players have the opportunity to try out the first level of each game in the collection completely free of charge, offering a glimpse into Lara’s timeless adventures on the go.
