Griffin Gaming Partners teamed up with talent management and production firm Entertainment 360 to establish a new company focused on video game adaptations for film and television.

The new entity, HITpoint Entertainment, will merge Griffin's connections with game developers and publishers with Entertainment 360's proven track record in producing IP-driven franchises.

HITpoint will also tap into a wider creative network, matching each property with suitable filmmakers, talent, and studio partners for screen adaptations. The company intends to keep game creators involved throughout the development and production process, ensuring aligned incentives and direct access to leading industry professionals.

Peter Levin, Griffin's co-founder and managing director, was a significant investor in Amazon's "Fallout" series. Entertainment 360's clients are currently working on the live-action adaptation of "The Legend of Zelda."

"Video games offer an incredibly rich source of stories and characters for film and television," Levin stated. "Successful adaptation demands a deep understanding of the creativity and passion game developers invest. Griffin has cultivated strong relationships within the gaming community for years. This venture provides a distinct advantage for our over 100 portfolio companies, strategic partners, and the gaming ecosystem as a whole."

Entertainment 360 commented, "Hollywood has long had a system for identifying compelling books and source material early. HITpoint brings this same focused approach to gaming. By partnering with Griffin, we can pinpoint promising IP at an early stage, bring it into a development pipeline, and connect it with filmmakers who truly grasp the material and what makes it unique."

HITpoint plans to adapt both major franchises and independent games. For independent titles, the company will draw upon Griffin's $100 million indie fund, overseen by Tim Bender, CEO of Hooded Horse.

Nick Tuosto, Griffin's co-founder and managing director, previously explained that the Special Opportunities Fund aims to "simply provide capital and support independent studios to launch successful games." He added, "Beyond that, we're excited about the potential to leverage these new intellectual properties across different formats and mediums."
